Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials Coming in December

One of my biggest criticisms/compliments about Dishonored is that, despite its ample 21-hour campaign, it left me wanting more missions, more areas of Dunwall to explore, more Dishonored! Turns out I'll get it. Arkane Studios announced this morning that three DLC packs are in the works, and the first, Dunwall City Trials, will put Corvo's gadgets, weapons, and supernatural powers to the test in December.

Stop the Abyssal Forge in New Darksiders 2 DLC

I suspect that this new Abyssal Forge DLC for Darksiders 2 is a metaphor about nuclear proliferation. A banished builder of weapons slowly making something that could destroy the whole world and everything in it? Not terribly subtle, Vigil. Of course, I'm also full of it, so there's a nearly 100% chance that I'm totally wrong. I guess we'll find out on October 30th.

Medal of Honor Warfighter Review in Progress

To play Medal of Honor Warfighter's single-player campaign is to become Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, only instead of knowing exactly where Ned Ryerson will be and what he'll say every single day for eternity ("I did the whistling belly button trick at the high school talent show. Bing!") I knew every exploding twist and slow-motion turn the levels were going to make before they actually made it. Warfighter isn't a bad modern military shooter, it's just that there's very little of its seven hours of terrorist-shooting that doesn't make me feel like I've played it before.

Team Fortress 2's Halloween Event Teased

If there's one thing the internet loves, it's a good mystery. And Valve is of the best at getting the world wide web (does anyone call it that anymore?) all riled up, particularly when they talk Team Fortress 2. This time around, they're hinting at the TF2 Halloween event with a portion of newspaper, specifically the classifieds. What could it mean? Help me figure it out, friends.

Break Ground in SimCity in March

Maxis originally planned to erect its new SimCity in February, but you know how it is with these big construction projects. This delay won't be a lengthy one, though. EA announced today that the original city building simulator is officially set to return in early March.

Star Citizen Hits Kickstarter Goal

There's just something about videogames and Kickstarter. Two weeks ago, Wing Commander creator Chris Roberts asked gamers to help fund his new space odyssey, Star Citizen. The project's early momentum stalled, and it plateaued at $1.34 million on the official Star Citizen site. Over the weekend, Roberts also decided to sample the Kickstarter waters, and kick start it did. Star Citizen hit its $500,000 goal in no time, and with 26 days left, it appears Kickstarter will help ensure Star Citizen becomes a reality.
